Down where it’s wetter, darling it’s better, under the sea? Ever wanted to visit the world of the ocean and see what the fish see? Explore the marine depths of Brazil and discover Arraial Do Cabo’s exceptional biodiversity in the South Atlantic Ocean when you go Scuba Diving in Rio de Janeiro!
Between 5:30 and 6:00 am, we’ll pick you up from your address in Rio de Janeiro. Then we’ll commence a 2,5-hour ride (170 km/105 miles) in an air-conditioned vehicle to the diving capital of Brazil, Arraial do Cabo. Arraial Do Cabo is a small fishing town on the coast of Rio city. It is famous for its crystal clear waters, dazzling white-sand beaches, intriguing rock formations, corals, reefs, turtles, and more. Biodiversity is simply mind-blowing!
We’ll arrive at the town around 8:30 am. We’ll then board a boat at 9:00 am that will take us out to the diving point. On the 30-minute boat ride, an expert guide will walk us through the basics of diving safely. This will adequately prepare us for an unforgettable experience of scuba diving in Rio de Janeiro!
The dive will take place once we arrive at the diving point and have our equipment on. Once we get into the water, we’ll begin exploring the depths of the Atlantic Ocean. If you are an experienced diver with certification, you’ll get the chance to take two 30-minute immersions. If not, you’ll enjoy one 30-minute immersion fully assisted by an instructor throughout the whole experience.
We’ll return to the harbor between 1:00 and 2:00 pm. On the return journey to Rio, you may choose to stop at a restaurant for lunch (not an included service in this activity).
Finally, we’ll return to Rio de Janeiro and drop you off at your address between 4:00 and 5:00 pm. Note that during holiday seasons, these time frames may be longer.
Yes, anyone can go scuba diving with or without experience. If it is your first-time scuba diving in Rio de Janeiro, our experienced instructor will be there to guide you from the beginning to the end of the experience. They will also help you stay calm and safe while you get used to the water in the best scuba spot in Brazil.
