Pickup from your hotel or Airbnb in Rio’s South Zone.

9:00 AM

Arrival at Tijuca National Park and visit to Cascatinha Taunay, the tallest waterfall in the park. Learn about Tijuca Forest's history as "The Green Lungs of Rio."

9:30 AM – 10:30 AM:

Begin the hike at Bom Retiro. Trek through the lush Atlantic Forest and ascend the 117-step rock stairway built for King Albert I of Belgium in 1920.

10:00 AM – 11:30 AM:

Reach the summit of Pico da Tijuca and enjoy a break with stunning 360° views of landmarks like Christ the Redeemer, Maracanã Stadium, and Pedra da Gávea.

11:30 AM – 12:00 PM:

Begin the descent back through the trail, retracing your steps through the forest.

12:00 PM – 12:30 PM:

Stop at Cascata da Baronesa waterfall for a refreshing break.

1:00 PM – 1:30 PM
